Japanese Fashion Shows

​

I was involved in co-creating and staging two large-scale Regency-themed Japanese street-fashion expos. These conventions were designed to attract British, Japanese, Chinese and European fashion houses and appeal to the international community of followers as the events' 

attendees. Profits went to charity.

Lolita fashion is an increasingly popular style of occasion and everyday clothing inspired by 18th and 19th century Western fashions blended with contemporary Asian street-fashions.

For these two events' pre-production I performed two main roles - produce marketing materials and design the exhibitor floor spaces and staging areas.  The first event was staged in a television studio and the second event took place at Stoneleigh Abbey and the Royal Pump Rooms in Warwickshire. The theme of the second event incorporated a 19th-century style department store featuring fountains, exotic trees and furniture.

The marketing materials employed social media heavily, and employed a mascot called Press Cat.
